Wayne Sadler 618 Posted August 1, 2021 I tried in this image to convey my impression of Buda hill in Budapest, Hungary at 12 midnight with a jet lagged brain. For me this place at this late hour with so few people, an amber glow and that wonderful silence is unforgettable - and too seductive (my Buddha on the road). Link to comment

michaellinder 16,613 Posted August 2, 2021 Wayne, what simply enchanted me to the limit my consciousness could tolerate is the fact that, although the light from all of the street lamp fixtures is pure white, the reflections from each of the building's walls differ among them, resulting in more color modifications as the the previous reflections encounter additional wet surfaces that are displayed on both the sidewalk and on the street. Having jet lag certainly paid off for you, leading to the conclusion that ordinary wakened consciousness isn't necessarily all it's touted to be. - - My best aways, michael Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 618 Posted August 3, 2021 Thanks, Michael, for your keen analysis. My jetlagged brain nor my normal brain understood what the light was doing. Lacking understanding I called it amber glow. Stranger still, it had not been raining and I don’t remember the streets being wet - yet the reflections? Link to comment

michaellinder 16,613 Posted August 4, 2021 Perhaps, you need to take a break from the koan, Wayne? Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 618 Posted August 4, 2021 Ha, ha. Perhaps you are right, Michael. I had a brother who used to say of my meditation: "I sit too hard" Link to comment
