Gary, Wayne has this image pegged. Its overall appearance has enough realistic elements to satisfy viewers who insist on portraying flowers realistically. Yet, the deep furrows in the petals and the color palette satisfy those who hunger for abstraction. The image is proof that, in general, there can be perhaps limitless abstract degrees . - - My best always, michael
