this dandelion is like a hundred small stars that come together in the Milky Way. By keeping the background dark this sense of magic gets enhanced, and the B&W helps to get the silvery shine that best conveys this. Maybe a large square composition could have worked here also, but the main effective thing here is the centered composition. Couldn't be much better! Kind regards, Vincent

Why can't I do such a beautiful picture of a dandelion I wonder! And how did you select such a tricky subject and put it on a black background?! On the other hand it has metadata, meaning that you didn't use the PSD option, you just took the picture of a dandelion on black background? My sincere compliments, Tatiana! Cheers! PDE

Many thanks, Pierre, for your observation and question! This dandelion was in the shade of the fence. Everything around it was green, plus a few small blue flowers. Converting to black and white plus a radial gradient (darkening the base) produced this result. Glad you liked it! Sincerely, Tatiana
