vincentoiseau 83 Posted March 2, 2021 An old (2009) photo of a dried rose that I found very interesting at the time. I keep stumbling upon photos that I had almost forgotten about; sometimes you need to go through your archives, which can be quite a task. I remember the DoF was my main concern about this shot. Your comments are very welcome. Link to comment

Giangiorgio Crisponi 496 Posted March 3, 2021 Bravo Vincent, this photo deserved to be taken out of the drawer, your goal of getting a good DOF has been achieved, great details on the white surface hard to get, a nice job, ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted March 3, 2021 Hi Patrick, thank you for your friendly comments! It does have a vintage look, I didn't even think of that aspect! Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment

Wayne Sadler 607 Posted March 5, 2021 The palpable texture and limited tonal array are what make this remarkable to me. Excellent work, Vincent. Link to comment

michaellinder 16,613 Posted March 6, 2021 A fine monochrome image, Vincent! Aside from the gentle contrast and overall lighting, I'm impressed by the soft detail and texture. - - My best always, michael Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted March 6, 2021 Hi Michael, thank you so much for your friendly comments and for favoriting this photo! The soft look comes from taking care of even lighting and slightly reducing the contrast. I wanted the receptacle to be in focus, as I liked these curled parts the most.
