Wayne Sadler 629 Posted February 8, 2021 While standing in this colonnade in St Mark’s Square (Piazza San Marco) in Venice, the sound coming from the bell tower (campanile) is absolutely enchanting. I stopped recording images and started recording the sound. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,613 Posted February 9, 2021 This hallway is endless. It appears to me that the people have been walking for quite a while. Bravo, Wayne. - - My best always, michael Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 629 Posted February 9, 2021 Thanks, Michael. The sound seemed to travel well in this hall too. Link to comment
brucebloy 1 Posted February 11, 2021 Wayne - I generally like and enjoy your presentations. I often try to get a "painterly" quality to my images and I'm curious what filters you use to obtain your results. Kudos for your interesting work. Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 629 Posted February 11, 2021 Many thank, Bruce. I have been asked that question several times. I am probably not very good at explaining. But I will try.It could be said I am distorting an image then selectively removing the distortion.Depending on the image I will use different sets of “filters” from photoshop and several topaz filters. Basically I am layering filters while masking out areas where I want to minimize the effect. Similarly to what a painter does by laying down several glazes on a canvas and selectively removing areas of the glazes. The meticulous part involves a wacom tablet and pen. Some images require touching/tracing/brushing nearly every area of the image with the pen – not unlike what a painter does with a watercolor or oil painting. Link to comment
