this b & w portrait of a steel worker has a timeless quality; it takes me back to early 20th century photo's that I've seen on sites like shorpy.com (if you don't know it, make sure to take a look). You have captured his pose well and the tools he carries and the steel beams add to the image. You were right to place him in the center, I think most of us would do the same in a situation like this one. I do not particularly care for the added grain, although it emhasizes his roughness, so I think I understand your choice. Kind regards, Vincent

Great stuff. He could be from the famous photo of the lunch eating crew of construction workers sitting on a steel beam 800 feet above ground when the RCA Building in Rockefeller Center was built in 1932.
