fogged in

As we approached Passau on the Danube in a heavy fog, I grabbed a shot of these forms and hues barely visible in the distance. A fellow traveler queried my decision to take a photograph of the fog. I zoomed the camera monitor to show him the “speck” of color and forms was actually buildings and trees. I don’t think I convinced him it was worth photographing.

another well-composed and executed painting of a scene seen from the river. I like the composition and colors; they are very well balanced and make this a soothing view. I'd really like to see more of this kind of subjects in your paintings, the combination of buildings and nature works very well in your artworks. I'm used to getting questions about what I photograph too. People tend to have some fixed idea of what is beautiful to make pictures of. Kind regards, Vincent
