vincentoiseau 83 Posted January 3, 2021 Extreme close-ups are fun to make; there's a lot to discover in the close ranges where our naked eyes normally do not discern details anymore in what we see. In this case, I was looking at the lower part of a bottle of raspberry syrup. Both the bottle and its contents revealed things I had never seen before. Your comments are very welcome. Link to comment
tai 3 Posted January 4, 2021 Mysterious picture, Vincent! Interesting color, light, shapes, textures, details! I try not to read your explanations before looking at the picture ... As a result, this syrup bottle bottom evokes a lot of associations. From some glowing art object to a fire on an oil tanker. I like your experiments! Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana Link to comment
michaellinder 16,613 Posted January 4, 2021 First and foremost, Vincent, Happy New Year! This image is a gem, and demonstrates your flair for abstract work. To me, it takes full advantage of the properties of a colloid, assuming this is the proper nomenclature for raspberry syrup. It seems to me that, as if you may have shaken the bottle before taking the shot, there's motion that is at least implied. The lighting is enchanting. - - My best always, michael - - - - PS A few days ago I posted an image with your name on it; you may want to check it out. Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted January 4, 2021 Hi Tatiana, Happy New Year! Thank you very much for your -as always- creative comments on this experimental photo. I'm glad you like it and even favorited it! Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted January 4, 2021 Hi Michael, a Happy New Year to you too! Thank you for your friendly and appreciative comments, well appreciated! I didn't shake the bottle, but there were tiny bubbles in the glass as well as lighter and darker parts of the syrup due to the back lighting, hence the suggestion of motion. I will certainly check out that image with my name on it! Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted January 4, 2021 Hi Franz, Happy New Year! I like your frivolous interpretation of this image; what would happen if we were able to swim in red wine, without the danger but with all the taste and color? Thank you, Franz! Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment

vincentoiseau 83 Posted January 5, 2021 Hi Patrick, Happy New Year! Thank you for your creative comment; that is the best kind of comment one can hope for when uploading an abstract photo. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
Giangiorgio Crisponi 496 Posted January 6, 2021 At first glance without reading your notes, I seemed to see a fiery red sunset over the sea, divided by the horizon, but the reflections did not match. Your notes, always clear, referred to the real representation. The curiosity to explore and research unusual aspects is characteristic of people with a creative spirit. ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment
