Wonderful bird portrait, Pierre! Google explained that it is Gyps fulvus. Beautifully captured! Congratulations! Sincerely, Tatiana

Pierre, although I've viewed previous macro shots of yours, the subject of this one is unique (for you). Although I can't identify the bird, its beak heightens its potential fierce nature. It clearly is a bird of prey. Also, its feather patterns come across in quite a detailed way, and the appearance of its eye is simply gorgeous. - - My best always, and Happy New Year, michael - - - PS O posted an image with your name on it; you may be interested!

Hi Pierre,

a very nice portrait of this griffon vulture to start the year off! I like the light in its white feathers and the shallow DoF. Happy new year! Kind regards, Vincent

Pierre....Stare!You really seized a great shot of the intensely focused bird with great details all over but what got me was the eye which initially and later appeared to me as almost human....if this makes any sense. In any case,an outstanding image going to my Favorites!Bien vu et bien saisi mon ami!Salutations-Laurent
