Christmas lights, photographed years ago, when the world was very different from what it is now. AF switched off. Your comments are very welcome.

Hi Tatiana,

thank you for your nice comments! Christmas lights have a special intimate mood indeed that is so desperately missing from public life these days; that's why I uploaded this image. Kind regards, Vincent

Hi Giangiorgio,

thank you for your friendly comment! I just switched the autofocus off and turned the focus ring to get these 'bokeh balls'. Kind regards, Vincent

Christmas lights are transformed into what could easily be taken as bokeh. (Please know that I drafted this sentence before looking at the rest of the comments.) A masterful abstract, Vincent . . . My best always, michael

Hi Michael,

as I deliberately turned the autofocus off and turned the focus ring until the lights were heavily out of focus, one could state that these are actually bokeh appearances of the subject, but that is, as you rightfully state, not what bokeh really stands for. I'm glad you like the abstraction.! Kind regards, Vincent
