Congrats Warren. I’ve been trying in vain to get this elusive little guy. I see and hear plenty in my neck of the woods, but so far no luck. Yet, perseverance is king.

well captured photo of this belted kingfisher I won't probably be able to photograph ever, since the species doesn't visit my country and even when it would, I would have to get lucky as well. As Giangiorgio remarked, its perch is certainly remarkable; there must be no branches nearby. Kind regards, Vincent

Thanks Vincent. I hope this bird stays around for a while as I’d like to get some closer shots (if I can!) They never stay in one place for very long!
