hstelljes 41 Posted September 2, 2020 I didn't resize this image properly for viewing purposes, sorry about that. This image was made 15 years ago right outside my house. It has always reminded me of Christmas Time. Thanks for looking, all comments very appreciated. Link to comment

vincentoiseau 83 Posted September 3, 2020 Hi Holger, this is a beautifully simple shot compositionally with lots of mood, not only because of the chosen DoF, but also the subtle coloring adds some extra warmth to the image. I think I understand your association with Christmas, although it's hard to put into words. Very nice! Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted September 4, 2020 Hello Vincent, Thank you for the well stated and observant comment. Those Christmas string light holders had to go up and down every year, thereby the obvious connection, but I thought it made for a somewhat interesting image. Thanks again and see you soon..................Holger Link to comment
michaellinder 16,612 Posted September 5, 2020 Holger, the simplicity of this image along with it's being monochrome invited me to journey between its borders and back again. -- My best always, michael Link to comment
