Paul, I can envision these gears turning unceasingly. Since they first were created and used in ancient Greece, they represent permanency and usefulness. Given their somewhat worn appearance, perhaps they need some attention. Quite honestly, it's the image's stark realism that attracted me. - - My best always, michael

Hi Paul and Dana,

 

a very strong composition that's all about simple man-made technique. I like the light and the worn appearance of the wheel; the spider thread on the blades gives away it hasn't been in action for quite some time; that's a nice detail. Great colors and 'feel' of the material. Kind regards, Vincent
