smooth 285 Posted July 24, 2020 Some have the skill to make art by using low light in an everyday environment . Well done Daniel. Kind regards, Arthur Link to comment
michaellinder 16,612 Posted July 24, 2020 Welcome back, DG. Arthur's observation is spot on. This low key image is striking both in appearance and mood. Might the location be your study? (rhetorical) The image displays objects that one would find ordinarily in such a setting - a lamp and a plant. But the sculpture adds a great deal of interest. Fine work. - - My best always, michael Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted July 25, 2020 Hi Daniel, a rather dark photo that drew my attention as a thumbnail and intrigued me when I opened it. Is this dimly lit place in front of what seems to be an interior window part of your study (as Michael presumed) or maybe a place to rest and meditate? The plant with the English flag behind it and the little rhino statue suggest the latter. The light is both coming from the lamp and falling through the window, which is probably key to understanding the meaning (if there is any meaning intended). The image exudes a seldom observed peace and calm and I find myself captivated by it. Well done! Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 586 Posted July 27, 2020 Sorry I don't how to comment other than that this image stopped me and I knew immediately the likely creator. Bravo, Daniel. Link to comment
