Amazing find, Laurent. Nature provides wonderful opportunities for abstract work, as this image clearly demonstrates. All that's missing is the mouth. If I didn't know better, I'd think that you photographed Treebeard in disguise. One last observation - - The image is sharp to the degree that, for all intent and purpose, you carved it. - - My best always, michael

Michael...Thank you for the kind observation/appreciation.This is another shot of that very weathered plywood on my dad's old shed.I thought the two knots looked like eyes and a third knot was located near where a nose might be,so I doubled it up as nostrils....but still was short of a nose,so I tried this new tool I discovered in my old PP program and pulled /shaped the grain to a semblance of that nose. The texture was pretty good so I just discolored the red of the remaining paint and played with the color buttons to max out the grain and put it out to see how keen eyes such as yours would react.Merci et salutations-Laurent

Hi Laurent,

well seen and greatly executed abstract, even if some editing was involved. This image put a smile on my face today. Thank you for that! Kind regards, Vincent

Vincent...Glad this cheered you up.I am not that skillful with this sort of manipulation, but as I noted to Michael,I ''discovered'' this tool in my old PP program and gave it a try....probably could not repeat it but glad it caught some keen eyes as yours.Merci et salutations-Laurent

Bravo Laurent. To make an image interesting is to make it surprise, amaze or even confuse those who are looking at it , a good work well thought-out and very well realized, ciao Giangiorgio

Giangiorgio...Thank you for the wise reflection.I must admit that I had no fixed plan except that the pair of knots were somewhat like eyes...and ;glad you the rest followed;glad the resulting image provoked some reactions...!Merci et salutations amicales-Laurent
