I like this shot very much since I was shooting the Black-necked Stilt pair for a week prior and they always try to chase me out and I had no idea why since I don't see any nest. A week ago, I finally see the nest with 4 eggs in it and ever since they will attack anything fiercely and I've seen this Great Egret got attacked before but could not get any shot . So, prior to laying eggs, they were staking out the territory but don't defend it as fiercely till the eggs came out for obvious reason. Link to comment

tm_j 30 Posted July 15, 2020 Muchas Gracias Rosario! It's hard to catch them since they fight in the bushes. Actually, the Black-necked Stilts were so fierce that the Great Egret went to hide among the reeds, LOL. Link to comment
