I think it is the near sepia tone and that slither of sky at the top that complete this masterful piece. Bravo, Laurnt.

Mon cher ami Laurent. I hope you are well and taking good care of yourself. Time (I wrote an amateurish book on that subject, Time, using different photos to construe the content by chapters) passes by so quickly (or slowly, as you might feel it) is very present in this photograph. Your post-processing treatment takes me back to times I now not except through movies or literary descriptions, circa 1940s, A sense of Timelessness, like the one we are living, where this sight is only changed by the direction of the wind. Thank you for sharing with us your moment standing in this beautiful long grass, and then, transforming it. Thus you regaled us with two points in TIME. Meilleures salutations personnelles et meilleurs voeux. DG

Daniel...Merci de cette élégante et très appréciée appréciation de cet instant de mon printemps. This is a rarely (unfortunately) used POV of the lighthouse by visitors as one needs waterproof footwear and beware of the odd scratchy rose bushes hiding in the grass,The waves in the grass are the result of an ATV crossing the area;I thought adding a tint contributed to the timelessness which you felt.Merci and stay safe my friend-Laurent

Warren...Thank you for the kind appreciation!I am sure this place is not any nicer than that which most people call home; I just try to show the few highlight spots from a POV which bring up their best side hoping that some viewer might get the urge to visit....maybe you one of these days, after the COVID crisis of course!Merci et salutations-Laurent

Hi Laurent. Very good composition of the picture with the gras in the foreground. I like the sepia color, and the title of the image ... just perfect! Kind Regards, Rosario.
