vincentoiseau 83 Posted April 29, 2020 I'm not a connoisseur of clouds by any standard, but this sky was a rare mix of cloud types. I chose a a very low horizon to maximize the impact of the sky, but I didn't want it to be too wide-angle, so I went for a middle-range focal length. The photo was made near the interesting city of Langres (Haute-Marne), France. I have been there several times in transit to and from Southern France and there were always interesting skies. Your comments are very welcome. Link to comment
tai 3 Posted April 30, 2020 Wonderful cloud exploration, Vincent! Expressive composition with dominant clouds and a strip of field! Your remarkable compromise also allows you to see some details of the plants plus the pole and wires of the power line at the border of heaven and land. Beautifully done. Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana Link to comment

vincentoiseau 83 Posted April 30, 2020 Hi Laurent, thank you very much for your comments! I can see in your photos that you really like clouds. I'm sure you will encounter skies that are more amazing than this one, although I must say this was really a 'big sky'. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
pablowarko 1 Posted April 30, 2020 I like the way this image is layered, Vincent. it looks as if there is no end to the sky and clouds. It gives the illusion that they are behind the ground not above it. A treat for the eyes and mind. Because of the way the image is layered the sky presents itself as ominous and powerful. Beautifully done and presented. The clouds could engulf the ground at any minute. Very impressive work. Best regards, Paul. Link to comment
