vincentoiseau 83 Posted November 7, 2019 Staying at camping la Taupe, I photographed this evening scene on the quiet river Seille running along the camp site. The light was very warm, which colored the stones in the river yellow. The Seille is a small river, a tributary of the Saône, about 100 kms long. Your comments are very welcome. Link to comment
tai 3 Posted November 8, 2019 Marvelous evening landscape, Vincent! Harmonious frame, interesting light, beautiful distribution of color spots, transparency, wonderful reflections, textures, details ... The feeling of silence. Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana Link to comment
michaellinder 16,613 Posted November 8, 2019 What I like the most, Vincent, is that this image is different from other photos of rivers (regardless of time of day) in connection with reflections. Unless my eyes deceive me, there is (only) a small areas on the right, but they are remarkably beautiful. Aside from the green and hints from yellow, they don't reveal anything other than tiny ripples in the water. Speaking of the water, it's translucent enough to prevent any clear views of the bottom and to provide a sense of mystery. Also, loooking at the left side toward the BG, there are slight hints of color until the river fades to black. This is superior work. ---My best always, michael Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted November 8, 2019 Hi Tatiana, thank you for another amicable comment! Yes, this was a quiet scene, but one of those moments you don't forget. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted November 8, 2019 Hi Michael, thank you for writing such a wonderful comment! I'm glad you like this photo; I don't know how different it is exactly from other river photos, but the way the Seille meandered into my point of view was impressive and I tried to capture that in all of its glorious detail and color. It's not that I didn't succeed at all, but the memory often beats the photo. The reflections are of course dependent on the viewing angle, which didn't result in many visible clearly reflected spots, as you rightly noticed. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
massimobaldo 0 Posted November 9, 2019 Hi Vincent, this photo is beautiful, in my opinion for the reflection of the water, very beautiful to see in blue. For the rest I would have a little darkness to give more effect to the reflections, but these are personal tastes that have nothing to do with this beautiful picture.Good photos!Best regards, Max Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted November 9, 2019 Hi Max, thank you for this friendly comment, I'm glad you like the photo. I understand your point about the reflections, but I think some parts of the photo would become too dark for my taste. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment

pablowarko 1 Posted November 9, 2019 The evening sunlight creates a gorgeous contrast in light that mesmerizes the senses, Vincent. The exposure is perfect showing details in the entire image. The sunlight glow gives warmth to the exposed area which contrast with the darker and colder areas. A spectacular balance that is complex and well controlled. Very beautiful colors and composition that is well balanced highlighting the various aspects of the beautiful area. Best regards, Paul. Link to comment
