vincentoiseau 83 Posted October 30, 2019 Macro has never played a major role in my photography, but everytime I tried it, I felt rewarded in some way. This photo is a detail of an image I made of a dandelion with dewdrops, converted to B & W and slightly colored. Your comments are very welcome. Link to comment
Gary-H 346 Posted October 30, 2019 A truly fabulous macro, Vincent. The silvery tone is magnificent as is the composition.Gary Link to comment
patrickcompagnucci 30 Posted October 30, 2019 Vincent, just exquisite. I love this, reminds me of exploding fireworks in B&W. Link to comment
tai 3 Posted October 30, 2019 Lovely delicate fragile image, Vincent! I suppose some little bird is going to clean its feathers and has taken a shower of dew. Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana Link to comment
Giangiorgio Crisponi 501 Posted October 30, 2019 Great macro. The enlarged image shows all the fine details , ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 30, 2019 I feel the same way about macro. The symmetry and with it maybe hidden meanings and intentions of Nature are unveiled... Link to comment

vincentoiseau 83 Posted October 31, 2019 Hi Tatiana, thank you for this original comment! It shows how well you understand the 'scale' of this image. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted October 31, 2019 Hi GG, thank you for your well appreciated comment! This photo just about sums up what I think macro is 'adding' to the humanly visible world. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted October 31, 2019 Hi Philip, macro is not a type of photography that I would like to pursue; it feels like a limitation to technicalities that are or aren't within reach. It also requires a lot of patience, which I have for bird photography, but not necessarily for insects on flowers, which is just a matter of preference. That's why I like the work of Paul Warkocki, who clearly has the drive to show that semi-hidden world and does a more than excellent job on it. He truly unveils things that we haven't seen or realized before. This photo was relatively easy. Thanks for your comment! Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
pablowarko 1 Posted October 31, 2019 Lovely circular fan composition, Vincent. I like the choice of focus point. Wonderful presentation of natures "Autumn pearls". Best regards, Paul. Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted October 31, 2019 Hi Paul, thank you for this friendly comment! I think the focus point was more or less coerced by the way we look at detail, but you know a lot more about that than I do. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
DGorinstein 20 Posted October 31, 2019 An exquisite, artistic, great choice for BW to convey a more powerful effect. How many carats may this jewel have??? Hard to fathom, but you captured them all. You are a rich man, in all seriousness and with all due respect. DG Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted October 31, 2019 Hi Daniel, thank you so much for your praising words! I feel honored to be called rich in this way. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment

vincentoiseau 83 Posted October 31, 2019 Bonsoir Laurent, thank you for your friendly comment on this photo, much appreciated! It happens to me all the time, being late to comment on a photo and not being able to add something that hasn't been said already by our smart and attentive fellow PN'ers. But I'm glad you did. michaellinder 16,613 Posted November 4, 2019 Vincent, I apologize for this review's tardiness. After reading the comments already posted, there's not much I can add, especially when it comes to specifics. So, I have little choice but to speak globally. With this image, you have created a world in which there is no conflict; there is only peace. Anyone who chooses to journey within it is compelled to leave analysis and criticism behind and, instead, simply to experience it in every way possible. Magnificent work. -- My best always, michael Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted November 4, 2019 Hi Michael, thank you for this impressive comment, that might be 'late' but is well appreciated! You describe the photo in a way that I like; as if a viewer has no choice but to 'leave analysis and criticism behind' and go with the flow of the picture. That makes me feel proud and at the same time makes me wonder why. Is this a particularly dreamy image? Thanks again, for making me think about this. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
