vincentoiseau 83 Posted October 4, 2019 Shooting against the light can be challenging, but in autumn morning fogs make it easier. This photo has been made very close to my home in a densely populated neighbourhood, although you probably wouldn't have guessed that. I liked the big spider webs and the rays of warm sunlight. Your comments are very welcome. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,613 Posted October 5, 2019 As a person who lives in an area that has no real seasons other than hot, I relish viewing images like this. Vincent, the ambient conditions at the time you shot it helped you create muted silhouettes and alternating areas of green and gold. Most of the frame has soft detail, which contrasts with the sharpness of the spider web near the left edge. If I were lucky enough to be in this spot, I would rake all the fallen leaves into the biggest pile possible so that I could fall backwards into it. This glorious image brings back memories of about 15 years ago, for which I am grateful. Honestly, this photo is a welcome change from mundane shots of a beach, mounains, and/or desert. It portrays nature as gentle. - - My best always, michael Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted October 5, 2019 Hi Michael, thank you for your -as always- striking comments. I would find it difficult to get used to live in a place that has no seasons; they (often literally) add color to our lives and often serve as marks for our memories. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
tai 3 Posted October 5, 2019 Lovely shot, Vincent! The gentle morning light creates a charm! The branch with fruits entangled in a web beautifully complements the image. Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana Link to comment
massimobaldo 0 Posted October 5, 2019 Hi Vincent, this is a good photo, I like it, maybe I would have eliminated a little orange, but there is only a matter of taste, the important thing is that the light is seen!Good photos!Best regards, Max Link to comment

vincentoiseau 83 Posted October 5, 2019 Hi Max, thanks for your friendly comment on my photo. I think the orange is essential for the mood; if I would tone it down, it would take some of the atmoshere away from the image. I even added warmth to the light in post processing to create more of an autumn feel. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment

Jack McRitchie 150 Posted October 6, 2019 Softly mysterious and, as always, understated in the loveliest way. Though you are a master with words, your pictures communicate just as effectively. Link to comment

pablowarko 1 Posted December 18, 2019 Interesting capture of the spider web highlighted by those beautiful rays, Vincent. I love the subtle light. For some reason reminds me of the Sherlock Holmes series. Excellent composition and presentation that exudes a somber presence. I really appreciate your control of exposure in this image. Your expertise comes through again. Best regards, Paul. Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted December 18, 2019 Hi Paul, thank you very much for your wonderful appreciative comments! I don't know the Sherlock Holmes series, although I do know the character of course. I'm curious to understand the connection you see, so maybe I'll have to watch the series. Shooting this wasn't as difficult as it may seem; the light was relatively soft. I was grateful for the spider web adding some interest though. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
DGorinstein 20 Posted March 19, 2020 My sincere apologies for coming to the party so late. I know naught why this happened, especially when peacefully wondering through your portfolio I stumbled onto this magnificently realistic photograph. It is Nature in Its essence. An everyday wonder, a daily marvel. Thanks for sharing this delight of light. DG Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted March 19, 2020 Hi Daniel, coming late to the party is no problem in my book; it beats not coming at all. Thank you for your praising words! It's a scene that most of us have witnessed several times, but it will remain a marvelous sight. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
