Amazing self-portrait, Michael! I guess this is an illustration of your perception of the world. This original big-eyed color geometric composition creates a sense of the breadth of the view of the world, curiosity, cheerfulness, ... I like it a lot. Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana

Hi Michael,

I recognized you immediately when I saw the thunbnail! Seriuosly, there are not many people on photo.net who create images like this one and your style is recognizable. You have a way of working with half-naturalistic image parts that are covered by geometric patterns and often psychedelic colors that bring the 70's to mind. In this case, the insect-like head (which I am sure doen't do you justice) seems to be trapped in a strong perspective against a chaotic 'sky'. I cannot even begin to draw conclusions from this, but it looks as if you have created an abstract allegory that may be read as a portrait indeed. Very good work! Kind regards, Vincent

An image that carries your signature, a very unique and inimitable style. These are images that leave great space of imagination and interpretation in each observer. if someone lingers to analyze it accurately it means that you have created a beautiful work that arouses much interest, ciao Giangiorgio

I have heard about a story where a very rich man invited some friends and associates on a holiday to Spain. One day in the hotel's garden he gave each one a canvas, paint and some brushes and then ordered them to paint their soul. Several of them had a nervous breakdown....Could be interesting to try likewise one sunny day...

Tatiana, I have become addicted in a sense to your imaginative, well written critiques. This one is no different, for which I sincerely thanks you. - - My best, michael

Vincent, I cannot thank you enough for your generous, thoughtful remarks. You are correct about my fascination with psychedelia, although I never dabbled in psychedelic drugs. I have read extensively and, most recently, I learned that some psychiatrists are using them (on an underground basis of course) to treat people with PTSD and certain psychoses with some guarded success. Also, your own extensive imagination found an allegory of sorts in the image. Finally, you are spot on about my predilection to blend naturalistic elements along with geometric ones. - - My best always, michael

Joe, you must have seen my evil twin, since I'm not due in Paris unti 2025. BTW, I can't begin to thank you for the time you've spent commenting on a multitude of my photos. I can respond to an inquiry, though. You had asked about a filter I used to create one of the abstracts you reviewed; sadly, I just don't remember.
