Giangiorgio Crisponi 502 Posted June 28, 2019 The school ship Amerigo Vespucci in the port of Cagliari. Built in 1930 it is considered the most beautiful ship in the world. The night lighting shows the colors of the Italian flag. Nikon D500, Tamron 70-200, f2.8, 6sec, ISO160. Thanks for your comments Link to comment

michaellinder 16,613 Posted June 30, 2019 From this image, Giangiorgio, I can determine with no doubt whatsoever why this amazing vessel is referred to as "the most beautiful ship in the world." The image presents the ship quite boldly, which is entirely fitting: its three tall masts reaching toward the sky, the intricate web of rigging, and the rugged construction of its four (perhaps more?) decks and its bowsprit. Finally, the colored lights shining on the ship presents visitors with a visual treat, analogous to your presenting one to us, your viewers. Definite favorite! - - My best always, michael - -Ciao!
