mark_q 0 Posted May 18, 2019 The curtain is still down and the artist is waiting to enter the scene. Guaranteed Jackian Classic. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,613 Posted May 18, 2019 Actually, I see the bunched fabric as the curtain. But that's indicative of what Jack's work does, perhaps better than anyone on this site - to prod viewers into abandoning, or at least suspending their ordinary perception of otherwise ordinary things so that they can stretch into different aspects of them. By the way, the cone is a security device! Link to comment

patrickcompagnucci 30 Posted May 20, 2019 I don't no what to make of this photo Jack, but I must say, it certainly does grab you. As the Beetles used to say "it sets my mind a wandering". Regards, Patrick Link to comment
Zbigniew Tyburczy - ZT 6 Posted May 20, 2019 Jack, I think I stay focused on plywood texture only, which is incredible and abstract. Everything else is a part of your composition, and basically real world items - blue tarp, orange traffic cone etc... So, this is complex real/ abstract photo - 'A Different View'. Inspiring work? - for sure! Regards, ZT, Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted May 20, 2019 Hi Jack, some great comments have been written already, but I would like to add that by making the environment look like 'the outside world', you have succeeded to portray the tarp and the plywood as a stage, an inner world to focus on. What I like is the fact that the wood has many layers, representing in my opinion the many aspects of life and the dark spot at the bottom left, suggesting there are other worlds within to be explored. This image offers a different view indeed; a lot to see and to discover. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 292 Posted May 22, 2019 Typical for you: Art out of nothing! I like the colors on this one and the realism! Cheers to that! PDE Link to comment
