hstelljes 41 Posted March 29, 2019 The Little Salesman is the boy who apparently lives between the two business'. As I walked by he was beckoning me to come in and see the stores, maybe Mom or Dad worked there. Charming youngster. Your thoughts and comments are always welcome, thanks for looking. Link to comment
tai 3 Posted March 29, 2019 Wonderful street scene and story, Holger! Well captured. I enjoyed seeing the details of the calm everyday life, this facade of the building, pavement, communications, storefronts, reflections ... and of course this charming young man. Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana Link to comment
Ken Ratcliffe 103,727 Posted March 29, 2019 Great street capture, so interesting and natural. The Little Salesman looks a character that knows his business and perhaps one day will own the stores. Best regards Ken. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,612 Posted March 29, 2019 Holger, this image is quite rich in comment-worthy subject matter. First, there is a bit of mystery; one may wonder what will be found upon opening the door on the left. Then, there is the charming architecture, especially the brick walls and the white window frames and doorway. There is a bicycle which the fire hydrant partially hides, the additional bicycle belonging to the youngster, and a baby stroller. Finally, we have the young man himself, impishly leaning against Tropico's door frame. All in all, this scene comprises a fascinating mini-universe, which you have ably captured. - - My best always, michael Link to comment

hstelljes 41 Posted March 29, 2019 Hi Michael, Your always deep and thorough comments are greatly appreciated. Right from the get go your opening line says it all " rich in comment worthy subject matter ". To me that is a high compliment, thank you. Then you go on to analyze the image which I'm glad for because on more than one occasion you have pointed out things I had overlooked, in this case the bicycle hidden by the hydrant. Good eye. Thanks Michael for all your continued support. See you soon...................Holger Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted March 29, 2019 Hi Holger, by keeping some distance you have placed the little salesman in his own world within a bigger one. The colorful facades of the Tropico mini-market and restaurant are very conspicuous in the neighborhood. I like the presence of the little salesman's 'wheels'. Very well done photo, Holger. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
