monochrome Winter Evening

This is a hell of a picture. I'm impressed with both the great depth you've achieved as well as the superb tones of the picture and the way you have composed this with the three dogs venturing into this fascinating, unknown land. Finally, I have to say I've never seen mini-dunes like this that more resemble a choppy sea than the usual idea of a beach. The picture certainly deserves more attention and comment than it has received so far. A favorite for sure.

The photo has semi abstract feel. Incredible feel... Are those dunes made of snow, ice?

The scene is of the Lake Michigan shoreline in winter, with large build-ups of ice from wave action.
