remrem 0 Posted May 21, 2018 Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living. Looks like captured destination of unspoiled beauty accessible only by horseback or helicopter. Link to comment
andrzejp 7 Posted May 21, 2018 Hi Rem Rem. Thank you very much for your visit and compliments. This particular place is actually less than a mile hike from the road. And it is BEAUTIFUL! But can be very hot later in the day. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,612 Posted May 21, 2018 This location certainly is paying off, Andrew. The model's effort in climbing the sand dune shows in the flexing of the quadriceps in her left leg; of course this gives the image plenty of dynamism, as does the afford the trail of imprints in the sand. In my opinion, the landscape in this image is far superior to "Solitude." The mountains are more visible and the dunes and sand patterns are much more complex. Excellent monochrome! Link to comment
andrzejp 7 Posted May 21, 2018 Hi Michael , Thank you very much for your visit and detailed analysis of my photo. This picture was taken at 7:10 am on a very clear day. Low sun angle created superb shadows, so my emphasis was on shadows. Solitude was taken on a stormy day at 5:45 pm, light was diffused and my emphasis was on the incredibly intense stormy sky. tai 3 Posted May 23, 2018 Magnificent b&w, Andrew! Good idea and realization! This photo made me laugh. I guess what your beauty could tell you after such a bare walk on all fours at 7am. Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana Link to comment
andrzejp 7 Posted May 23, 2018 Hi Tatiana, thank you so much for your visit and compliment. The reason for an early start was to catch the shadows an to avoid heat. It was perfect temperature 27 deg C. Few hours later would be over 40. She was just heading to a place I assumed will be great for a picture, but walking on a sliding sand on the edge of the dune is not easy, so all 4 helped and it made a splendid photo. I am glad you like it. Link to comment
