Wayne Sadler 582 Posted February 10, 2018 Well composed portrait. I understood why after I saw it was yours. Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted February 10, 2018 Wayne...Thank you for the kind observation;this has always been my favourite type of image taking, unfortunately I now live far from this type of subject,so I sneak back in my files once in a while for a refresh.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
michaellinder 16,612 Posted February 11, 2018 The half-looks due to these two people (children, perhaps) hiding behind the pole lends whimsy to the image. Perhaps they weren't hiding because they are shy, but because they were playing. I especially like the hat of the bottom person being partially visible. Well crafted b&w image. - - Best, michael Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted February 12, 2018 Michael,..These are young girls in an outward village in the Andes and they were genuinely shy and torn,I guess, between running away and staying around to observe the rare strangers going around their village. The hats are the norm for all in these high altitude areas as the sun is really scorching;different villages/areas will have styles of their own ....sort of trademark which they display with pride.Glad you like and thanks for the appreciation.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
