Robin Smith 811 Posted November 16, 2017 I like the confluence of leaves and branches which fills the frame convincingly. The "double exposure" works very well too. I wish the portrait was more conventional though (not the Halloween grimace). It rather spoils the mood. I hope the photographer made a straight version too, because I think the photographed woman and the photographer will find that more satisfying in the future than this version. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,612 Posted November 17, 2017 I'm not sure I agree with Robin's observation concerning the woman's facial expression, especially since Halloween's over (just kidding about Halloween, Robin). Personally, I would like her face better if she weren't displaying vampire fangs. This, however, does not present me from admiring the image as a whole. In my opinion, it borders on being unique. At the very least, Jack's crafting it must have been quite painstaking. Finally, I'm quite impressed by how the branches cover only the the perimeter of the face. Link to comment
Jack_Maegli 0 Posted November 21, 2017 Thanks Robin and Michael for the constructive feedback! One thing that helps the "cause" of this photo is I usually display it as the last of a progression of photographs; starting with a photo of some puppy dogs playfully fighting and displaying teeth; followed by a raccoon or coyote in a slight anger grimace; and ending with this girl more than super p!ssed with her predicament and screaming such in a pond reflection. The canines just give sort of a continuity when I do such! Link to comment

andrzejp 7 Posted February 25, 2018 Hi Jack, Excel ent image. I like it a lot in part because of her expression. After reading your explanation I like it even more. Excellent! Link to comment
