Mid Atlantic Ridge#2, Iceland

That's an impressive scene- looks like you're enjoying your trip!

This is the type of image I had hoped to get on my recent trip to Maine. I really want to go to Iceland.....anxious to see more of your shots!

As a geologist, I'm thoroughly enjoying this image for the geologic story it tells. And you've framed that story beautifully, with the dramatic scarps in the foreground. The buildings add a lot to the story, too--when I think of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, I never think of the fact that people actually live on it. But there's Iceland, an entire country that's made its peace with plate tectonics. Nice image, and a lot of food for thought here!

in addition to all that is said above, I am impressed by the rendering and texture visible in the whites. Superb, bravo.
