Wayne Sadler 591 Posted 16 hours ago Cropped from this image is the light of the United States lightship Relief. Lightvessels or lightships served as lighthouses where waters were unsuitable for regular light house construction. Here, decommissioned and appearing abandoned at a terminal in the Oakland Estuary, The Relief (designated a National Historic Landmark) serves as a “floating classroom” and for me an interesting painting.
