A very nice shoreline and a good  composition. I would increase  the lightness, brightness  on the land, (contrast maybe)  to add more life  to the image. I love shore  lines  like this  very much.

Haw a Happy Holiday season.

Thank you very much, Bela for taking the time to suggest changes. I agree. I somehow processed most of my Iceland shots in a realistic way - as I saw them, and I am at odds sometimes whether to give them more "punch". I like your version and I shall likely revise some of my remaining shots.

I wish you Merry Christmas and all the best in 2017!

I recognized this location immediately, and was stunned how great and clear the weather is in this image.  And, mostly, how you and I "see" so differently!  But I couldn't see what you see & got in this.  Neat.  I'd be tempted to crop the hint of foreground ledge in the left corner.  Regards, Jeff

Thank you, Jeff! The suggestion to crop the sliver of the black foreground is a good one. It is good that every photographer sees differently, the diversity of images that follows is enormous. The weather that day was very good, I even got somewhat sunburned as I did not think of bringing sun protection cream to Iceland... Best wishes. Peter

Peter,  I think you have enough renditions on this image as it is.  Its interest and effective composition is evident.   What the comments validate is that seeing and creating the felling and mood you favor are  key to the image.  Nice image.   Larry

Peter, I've been through there several times at different times of the year and it's always been raining or snowing, and extremely windy.  Lucky you to have experienced abnormal conditions!  Jeff
