chris_hamilton29 29 Posted September 28, 2016 Great misty mood and effect, well captured. Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted September 28, 2016 The mist is beautifully rendered! But I'm thinking that the building may be just that bit too much....(all this is purely personal preference|) I just think that the figure and the tree would make more of a statement on their own, it could then even be perceived as the figure peering though an opening in the clouds........you do this so well! Best Regards Alf Link to comment
Ken Ratcliffe 103,750 Posted September 28, 2016 Very good, like the composition and subtle colours. Best regards Ken. Link to comment

hstelljes 41 Posted September 28, 2016 Another thought provoking image that has a heavenly atmosphere. PD I'm with Alf on a point he made about the building, but I suppose even the gods need a place to stay. Great idea and execution.BR, Holger Link to comment
Eystein 1 Posted September 28, 2016 The processing is perfect. I read with interest Alf's comment, and I kind of agree with him, but it might be something I do not understand. Well done and interesting anyway.Best regardsEystein Link to comment

Jack McRitchie 150 Posted September 28, 2016 It is a far, far better place I go....Is this heaven or Shangri-La or just the last sad days of the Roman Empire? Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 280 Posted September 29, 2016 Thank you all, guys! The building is there to point to the church as an institution, institution which made the faith fade out through its history!Fall of the remnants of the Roman Empire, Jack! Cheers PDE Link to comment
Leslie Reid 5,227 Posted September 29, 2016 An amazing image, Pierre--the concept is so original, and it's carried out so beautifully. I'm going to be thinking about this one for a long time! Link to comment

thadley 15 Posted September 29, 2016 Looks heavenly to me. There is lots of stuff I cannot see so one must believe that they are there. Brilliant image. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted September 29, 2016 I can't help but associate the dead tree with the man-made edifice of the building; while the crusader has a blissfully hopeful expression. Good stuff... Mike Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 280 Posted September 29, 2016 The statue definitely doesn't represent a crusader (cause it's Orthodox somebody), but it sure looks like one! Thank you, Mike! PDE Link to comment
john_nell 551 Posted September 29, 2016 Pierre. The statue fiqure looks like he is leading an league of christian converts emerging out of the fog...Rgs..John Link to comment
