Beautiful work! Nice composition and tones, gorgeous sky. The original large format image must be fantastically detailed.

One minor thing: the white house in the bottom left corner is a bit distracting in my opinion.

Best regards,

Alain

Alain - thanks for the detailed critique and the constructive character of the comments.  I could probably darken the house a bit but it was unavoidable. I wanted to include the edge of the water on the left side and I was on someone's flat roof with no possibility of moving to the right unless I wanted to leave the land of the living.  All the best,

PS there a slightly larger version to view.

What a wonderful large print this would make.  The white house doesn't bother me at all - and in fact anchors the corner quite well.

Well done Tony,

Best, David

I think David is right, you could fill a wall with this image and never get fed up of looking at it, seeing something different every time it was studied!

Wonderful POV!

Best Regards

Really beautiful image, Tony.  Agree with a lot of the other comments, I could spend hours looking at this one.  Really fantastic.

Joscelyn, Mike, Patsy, Pierre D, David W, Jason and Alf, I appreciate your visit and telling me how you feel about this image. On that afternoon I was on a photographic mission to capture the Carenage and I knew it could not be done with a single image. I am not sure but I think I spent well over an hour (maybe 2) at this location. I though the sky had some potential and I was correct.

It did not start out like this and once it peaked to what you see here, it got darker , the colorful sky disappeared and the whole character of the scene changed. I also captured that.

I had made a long walk to this location and if truth be told, I was not sure if I had the energy and I was not sure cars could easily see me as there were spots along the route  that were not well lit. I took a local bus which comes in a form of a mini-van and it can be quite crammed. I had a camera bag and a tripod but somehow things worked out.

I got back to the place where I was staying and was quite anxious to review the images on the back of my camera in more detail.
