Len this is not a seat I want to sit in any time soon, to small and too cold. But I like the result of her work and your capture of it.

Hi Len,

Wonderful b/w image with amazing details.  Take care, Patsy

This artist was taking part in Collingwood's Ice Festival.  The finished product was likely much more impressive but this was the state of it when I happened by.  Thanks for your visit & interest.  Best, Len.

Sit down and cool off takes on a very literal meaning with this chair ;-).  Well done in b/w and I'm impressed with the skill of these sculptors... Mike

Skill?  Oh, I don't know,  she simply carves away the parts that don't look like a chair.  How hard can it be?  To all who don't know me, Kidding!  Thanks for your time & comment.  Best, Len.

That's why I didn't wait around for her to finish.  :-)  Best, Len.

Probably make a change from you being in the "hot seat" : - )

Ahhh yes, work I could watch it all day!   You have the perfect angle here to capture both subject and artist, not as easy as you make it look!

Well done Len!

When this chair is finished it would be clear like glass.  A warmer than usual Feb. made short work of these pieces of ice art.  The date in the 'details' is wrong due to my old (10 years now) & ailing Canon A540 reverting to it's default date of 1980 each time I turn it on now.  We didn't even have digital cameras in 1980 did we?  Thanks for your visit.  Best, Len.

Nicely composed and captured image Len of this artist at work! B&W works well too! Rob

Initially I felt the colours were too weak so I converted to B&W.  Now I'm having second thoughts.  You decide.  Thanks for your input.  Best, Len.

Having popped back for another look, and noticing the alternative colour version, I have to say I prefer it. I think it's just those cool tones that make it that much more tangible!

Cheers Len!

Yours is a most valued opinion.  Sometimes, post processing of an image is like making pie crust................ work it too much & you end up with an inferior product. :-(  Thanks for the return visit.  Best, Len.

I think Alf is right. The colour version is very good. I prefer it too.

Thanks for weighing in on this post.  Consensus seems to favour the colour version.  Who am I to disagree?  :-)  Best, Len.
