Holger, ditto my comments on the companion image. This one is weakened, however, by the city skyline on the far horizon. I feel it introduces a conflicting idea from the dunes and grasses which are the primary focus. Otherwise, nicely done.

I love the feathery shadows that lay across the contours of the dune. The sun must have been low which gives that warm hue to the sand and allows the stark silhouetted shapes of the trees!

I looked t both beach shots but this one appeals to me more with the shadow and depth perception and beautiful light and color.

i love the way the lighting is so subtle and shadows just long enough i am guessing taken at just that right time of day?its raw beauty for me
