I am looking to hear from others on how I as the photographer or the image image

could improve. I submitted it for ratings and received a reasonable grade slightly

above 4. Not bad but I am striving for perfection. What I would like to understand is

what I need to do to improve. Honest comments are welcome.

Thank you

An interesting subject to photograph.

There is a lot of nice foreground detail in the rocks and stones, and the light is fairly well balanced too.  I am not sure about the composition though. Although a central composition isn't ruled out (in my opinion) the very close proximity of the plane seems to reduce the impact to some degree.   Standing back another yard, taking the shot from a lower perspective, taking the shot from a slight angle, are all possibilities and the photographer is usually the best person to be able to judge as they are more aware of other elements that can remain unseen by the viewer. My best advice is to "work the scene" and take a variety of shots, portrait, landscape and in various position and heights.  Then look at them a day or so later to see which ones stand out.

Best Regards
