Great shot, both amusing and though provoking, both classic in a way and off kilter in another way. Very photographic and it tells so much of a story.

I like how the steam rising from the manhole cover's vents illumine the reflections in the rain-drenched street; perhaps the reflections directly in front of the subject area the steam itself.  Also, the fact that the subject's face isn't visible adds an element of mystery to the image.  Fred's comments probably said all of this in a much more sophisticated way.
