It's been a while since my last upload, life can really get in the way of your

photography, this was a long exposure shot over the River Dee at West

Kirby.

Lower sightline to align horizon with end of jetty. I would have distortedthis in PS to make the top of the handrails equal height. Good midtones with full tonal range Except no 100% whie (see histo) Nice choice of shutter speed, thanks, Rick. PS, lovely lens !!!

Good to see you back and posting more fine images!

The long exposure and the central lighting works really well here.  Visually powerful image! well done Jed!

Best Regards

I've been thinking about getting that filter and this image is furthering my thought process :-)  Fantastic on all levels, I especially love the toning.  Congrats indeed.

I like the care taken to achieve parallel vertical posts that contrast with the horizontal boards.  However, on careful inspection, I see that the horizon tilts slightly to the left.  Hopefully that can be corrected without wrecking the verticals.  Nice cloud movement and partial vignetting.

Hi Rick, thanks for the comments and tips. I hadn't thought about lining up the end of the jetty with the horizon, but it makes perfect sense. I'll have to go back and have another go.

Thanks Jeff, the horizon looked OK to me when I posted this but now you have highlighted the tilt I can't see anything else. I'll adjust the original.

Love this. I'm not seeing any problems with the handrails or horizon tilt - maybe you updated the image? - and I like the horizon where it is. If the rocks on the lower right could have been eliminated, it may have been an improvement, but a tighter crop may have not have been feasible. This is beautiful.
