What caused me to take this picture was the sunlight on the rocks and

as the tide was coming in the waves were getting larger. I loved the

look of the clouds and while they looked impressive the quickly

dissipated as the morning wore on and we had another beautiful day. I

was thinking B&W when I shot this scene and I must say I'm very happy

with the results. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this one. Thanks

for taking the time to view and comment.

Amazing view! This proud, enormous rock mountain with its few trees on top would challenge any threatening skies.  I also like the white foam of the wave on the lower part for contrast.  Excellent work!

Thank you all for your kind comments.

Eddie, I started with a fairly flat image so it was fun watching the zones "come to life".  I knew when I was shooting this scene that I might be in for something good.

Jim, I shot about 15 frames at full burst to get this one; it's amazing how fast they crash and are gone.

Mike, I have been out shooting more these days and editing some older ones and I feel like my photographic eyes are starting to work again, lol.

Again, thanks for the comments.

Superb view! the rock by itself is exciting, but you gathered here more excitement by catching special sky event and handeling the mysterious b&w very well.

I just wonder if frame would be more open from the sides....

Beautiful work Craig!

Best regards!

Great pic. I wish a few areas weren't  quite so dark and your watermark is hugely distracting but excellent composition.
