Until the other day I had not realized water is such a commodity for

birds when temps get below freezing. When photographing a frozen pond,

I noticed this gathering of birds, robins in this scene, but different

types of birds. I’ve observed that birds will squabble over food now

and then, but at this watering hole they were all on good behavior and

taking their turn to get a gulp. Comments and critique appreciated.

Thanks for the comments. This grouping brought to mind fashion photography where the photographer aims to have all the models overlap each other.  I softened the edges of the foliage in the background to minimize distraction.
