Thank you for your very kind words.

Your suggestion is right on the spot but unfortunatelly this was a very much underexposed shot so everything i could come up with even risking to go overboard is up to the max.

I am a great admirer of your work i love your artistic mind.

Thank you for your comment.

My best regards.

Hi Andy, I find no problem with underexposure. Snow is still white in colour.

Just one idea: I'd have located the "snow hat" in one third, ie. the left one. Then I'd use more zoom, zoom objective, even till 300mm, helping to blur ducks around, and maximum aperture. Same ISO as you. Then, selective focus on the hat and voilà ... those ducks eager to be protagonists, remain lost and lightly drawn around. Just another vision of this beautiful corner of nature, you're showing us.

I find a very good and nice image. Winter might be a magician.

Ducks, with their fat and plumage, do not suffer from cold.

Kindest regards, ㋙

You made me smile with your kind words, thank you for that.

I know i didn't get the hue right that is throwing you off.

I am still looking for a chance to make one image which is in my mind for a verly long time. You know when just a cavalcade of feathers and colors all over on the canvas nothing else..... it will come.

Thanks again for the cheer me up.

My best regards.

Your suggestion and advise is right on the spot. You are absolutelly right, i should isolate the main subject from the fore/back ground to make it more obvious.

But, these birds are so beautiful i just didn't have the heart to blur them out.

Anyway this is my story and i'm sticking to it.

The other reason would be: i just forgot to adjust for the DOF, my fingers were dozing off about half an hour before from the cold.......

OK I will go with the second one.

Thanks again for your interest in my work.

My best regards.

Andy
