Dear Lee, thanks for your interest in this work and for your pleasant visit. Yes, I had several shots and I was searching for the most striking one in relation to the position of the hands and arms and her eyes.

A look that may invite into the work, a little lost. It's a pipe for smoking, there're no holes to play music like in a flute. It's a Peruvian pipe, made of cane, manual and craft. I love it, never used it.

I put a little smoke at the end, but I did not exaggerate it, so it's very subtle. Then simply I did not want just to hold the pipe, wanted to do it in a beautiful and artistic way. Both hands are on the same side, holding it, trying to play its melody, the melody of love which escapes in the fumes.

Love: both physical / very earthy and ethereal / spiritual one that rises with scrolls. I wanted even simulate holes flute and play with scrolls, but ... I hope the result is fine.

Thanks for everything. Kindest regards ㋙

Ciao Laura arrivo proprio ora da un concerto dove hanno suonato i 3 migliori collaboratori di Fabrizio De Andrè. Il suonatore degli strumenti a fiato ha tenuto banco; lo vedrei meglio come strumento musicale!

Hola Juan

Dear Joze, I'm very pleased by your visit and interest in the work. At first we've got the ideas and then comes the hard work, ie. carry them to good end.

So your compliment, rating and positive comment are very much appreciated.

Dear Andy, thank you for your pleasant visit, rating, so positive comment... I keep wandering about your phrase: "full of soul", I love this definition, it's charming, that makes me think that the work is not empty.

All the best and thank you, ㋙

"If music be the food of love, play on,

Give me excess of it; that surfeiting,

The appetite may sicken, and so die"

Music is being performed on an instrument where the music can be very soothing causing one to stop and smell the roses.  The earliest flute can be traced back to Germany 43,000 years ago - a far contrast to the musician who was born 25 years ago.

I particularly like how the hands and the fingers are positioned.  Well Done!

Dear Tony ... what a beautiful quote !, I have not read this play yet, I know best "Much Ado About Nothing". Thanks because it's like a perfect finish (un broche de oro) to my work.

The verses fit "Love Pipe" like a glove (* _ *)

Yes, I totally agree with you, it's thinking about love in a melancholic way, you can even go crazy and sick; as it is well described with the verses. Lost in love and even sicken. And I think there's place also for gloomy lovers, downhearted poseurs.

I did not know how far flute as an instrument could be traced, very interesting and "musician" itself is such a modern concept, thanks for that info. In class, my partners from wind instruments well recognize tonalities and melodic dictation. I, from strings (guitar), suffer a lot to discover melodies. Yes, it's very sweet and soft music.

I could not resist placing hands in interesting ways. I've got a lot of shots, was difficult to decide me to choose one of them.

Heartfelthanks for everything. Warmest regards, ㋙

Dear Giangiorgio, yes I know that song by The Platters, very cool... a great classic no matters how many years have been elapsed...

I'm very glad you've liked this work, the smoke theme in the image is also present and it's full of meaning.

Heartfelt thanks for all, kindest regards ㋙
