A very nice rendition Fred. A pleasant sense of serenity and peace. My only criticism is in the white balance that is apparent to me. It looks as if you applied a "Daylight" balance in CS6. I find there is too strong a hint of red in the overall picture which is what happens if you apply "Daylight" WB in ACR, I personally find a WB using "Flash" as the setting to have a better result.

Nevertheless, a beautiful photograph. Very pleasing.

Regards, Derek.

I was intrigued by Derek's comment since the image looked great to me.  I downloaded and, as is my usual practice for white balance, set a white point on the brightest portion of the center most cloud.  On my calibrated monitor the image didn't change color at all due to this check.  I'm interested in what you find and/or what your technique is for white balance... Thanks you guys for commenting. This was shot late in the evening and it was getting fairly dark and kinda blue so I set my white balance to open shade on my Nikon which is 7200 and +10 on the tint. There were still some reds on the clouds as it was a fairly colorful sunset. In ACR I pumped up the temp to 7500 and left the tint at +10. I was nowhere near daylight color temp. In PS I created a lights luminosity mask and used it with a color balance layer. My adjustment for that layer was just 1 point towards red and 1 point towards magenta targeted to the highlights. Other than working a little on the contrast that's it.

I am not going to mention the white balance, but I will mention the superb composition and great balance. The foreground shingle really puts the viewer right there, a wonderful place to just gaze in awe!

Compliments & Best Regards

Fred,  Nice image.  I think there are two images here - this one and one that is cropped above the foreground rocks.  This would create s square type of format.   Nice work.  Larry
