mountaineer1965 0 Posted October 31, 2014 So this is my first submission to the pets category. This is our cat Earl, or as he like to be called Mr. Earl :-) I'm very interested in what you think about this shot. Thanks for viewing and commenting. Link to comment
mountaineer1965 0 Posted October 31, 2014 Thank you so much that is exactly what I was going for. The original capture was an even exposure then in post I brought the exposure down and then bumped the levels to maintain a solid contrast. Thanks for your thoughtful consideration. Link to comment
setsail728 15 Posted October 31, 2014 Mr. Earl has a future in the modelling business if he strikes a pose like that. Very nice portrait and the lighting is just right!! Bravo! Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted November 1, 2014 Fantastic! Not just because it is technically perfect with the tones and detail, or the diagonal whiskers and eyes that focus our full attention on that classic face, but because it's so real. I think "Sir Earl" might be fitting as well ;-). Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted November 1, 2014 Very Good (6) One eye seems to be much larger than the other or wider open than the other one. This keeps me fixated and probably quite appropriate for Haloween. Link to comment
luda_luda 0 Posted November 3, 2014 Hi Craig, I like the way you composed this image, and the cat looks so beautiful.Warmest regards,LuDa Link to comment
4billionyears 0 Posted November 4, 2014 I think the focus and marvelous definition on his nose + eyes + whiskers bring out a quintessentially feline quality. The tonal range on the B&W work very very well. I really like it! Link to comment
MLHankins 0 Posted November 7, 2014 I like the composition... whisker alignment... very much Craig. The range of values from black to white is full and rich. A good subject for b&w. Nice capture. Link to comment
