subc 0 Posted September 13, 2014 Tsoltak in Ladakh, J&K, India, just after Changla pass, on the way to Pangong Tso, is a small lake surrounded by mountains with green grassland around which is a summer pastureland of the yaks. It surely is a beautiful location with small water channels leading to the lake. But when I visited there in September, the sky was cloud covered and I was mentally visualising the possibilities the scene offered, without the famous blue skies of Ladakh. Was composing a shot with a water channel leading in, when I saw co-traveller Arup Bhattacharjee standing by the edge of the lake, composing his own frames. And that moment with him and his reflection, made the frame for me. Link to comment
alfbailey 4 Posted September 13, 2014 The contrasting colour, the leading line of the rivulet and the reflections make for a most compelling photograph! Very well done! Alf Link to comment
victorwei 0 Posted September 13, 2014 Amazing shot! A superb landscape composition. I think you have a better outcome than your co-traveler's by capturing the field of green moss as foreground context. Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted September 14, 2014 Subhadip, Superb image - wonderful. The vertical composition with the water on the right works wonders here, and the sky is most dramatic. The textures in the mosses are also most vivid. Magnificent! Larry Link to comment
