The long exposure really worked to your advantage - and to ours.  The lines in the sky provide a sense of motion, as if you were engaged in time-lapse filming.  Exceptional creativity and technique!

My best always,

"Time Lapse" describes it well. It was a most unusual convergence of the clouds and leading lines. When I first looked  the shell was not central to composition and I had to walk a few yards to the left to get it lined up.

Many Thanks for your thoughtful feedback and encouraging words.

Thank you so much!

It would appear I was very lucky this particular morning. Of course the more I practice, the luckier I get : - )

I am so glad you decided to take a long exposure for this shot Alf. Amazing how the lines streaming away from the clouds worked out so beautifully. I was surprised to see that this was a sculpture in the sand. Very dynamic result achieved, beautiful as well!!!

Many Thanks for your thoughts and kind words, very much appreciated!

It was a case of looking up and just noticing the lines in the sky then just moving a few feet to the left to frame the shot.  The long exposure may have made it even more surreal I think.

Lovely to her from you Gail

I think it really great that "whoever" decided to place a sculpture there and challenge us with its impact.  You have taken it a stage further and I really like the effect of the long exposure.  Your insight as to when it is opportune to do so is an inspiration !

Very best from sunny (and today - very windy and wet !), Auckland, New Zealand.

The radiating clouds draw me eyes to where you want them to. Great composition. The feel sure is very arty. Kudos.

Many Thanks for your observations and thoughtful feedback. I think the way the clouds lined up for me was very fortunate.

Thank you so much for your thoughts and kind words, much appreciated!

The nature of the sculpture is quite surreal in itself, I was most fortunate to be able to include the cloud formations in the composition.

I just returned yesterday from a holiday in Scotland, such an awesome place, it even haunts my thoughts and dreams when I'm not there. I will post a few images when I get round to processing them.

Thank you most sincerely for your thoughts and positive feedback regarding this image, sometimes the subject and surrounding elements work together in harmony as they did here, I guess the trick is recognising it when it happens : - )

All the very best my friend!
