Nice composition.

William, I thoroughly enjoy the muted colors and the minimalism.

William, I like the simplicity of the composition and the muted colors, but two things throw me off a little bit:

The white streaks to the right of the log

The fact that the clouds are slightly slanted to the left. That makes my eyes want to wander out of the picture.

Nevertheless, a beautiful image!

William-  I also like very much the minimalist approach to this photo.  I've been working in that mode for a few years now.  And I recognize that the slight slant to the clouds may have been un avoidable.  If you had taken 2 steps to the left, so your camera was straight-on to the waves, than the log would have dramatically changed its shape.  The horizon is flat, so I'll say 'nicely seen '.
