Excellent work! Of course I like the wonderful expression of the girl, but also how the subject fills the diagonal of the image.

Best regards,

THIS is one fabulous image/portrait!

Could be the cover of a very VERY interesting child's book

the composition, the child's gaze and the movement of her hair, all, along with the horizontal/diagonal of the hammock are just FLAWLESS

an instant favorite if ever there was one...

Original and intriguing

Boris, thank you for commenting this picture!

Hi Alain. I am glad You like it. Usually, a diagonal composition works well.

Thank you very much Frederick, I appreciate your kind words.

Kind Regards,

This is ageless and timeless, the two qualities to ensure it's longevity and well deserved popularity. The child's face emerges from the hammock like a fairy from a folded petal. Original and mesmerising image!

Sincere Compliments!

Though it might take an old sailor (no, I'm not one) to immediately recognize that this was a hammock without the hint from your title, it does point to a fascination most children have with these items.  We have a different style hammock at our house but our grandchildren head right for it when they come over.  I like the B&W presentation as I do for most people photos.  The contrast between the features of the face and the smoothness of the cloth draws the eye right to your subject.  Great addition to the family album.  Best, LM.

Hi Alf! "The child's face emerges from the hammock like a fairy from a petal folded" ... You have made a beautiful and poetic description. I like it a lot.

Len, I think hammocks, attract fascination not only in children but also in adults. I took this picture with 200mm lens, I think it's better to be a bit far for children to act normally. In this photo Micaela was looking at her cousins who were playing without her.

Thank you very much!

Kind Regards,

Rosario.

This is truly an exceptional photograph, from many different angles. Texture, subject, composition, tonality, treatment in BW rather than color, expression, etc. I hadn't reviewed the excellent work you have in your portfolio. Congratulations. It looks that sunsets are one of your favorite subjects (no wonder, such a magnificent spectacle and gift of Nature).
