The striking sharpness of the silhouetted branch against the misty backdrop works really well. I just wonder if it would have been possible to isolate the shot more without the bridge supports or the foreground grass. Although I do like the image in it's entirety also.

Hi Alf

Thanks for the comment. These branches can remain stuck in the mud for years moving up and down with the tide and so become fixed features of the landscape, natural installations if you like. The concept in this series is to photograph them in the context of the man-made installations. I do agree that this subject deserves to be seen in isolation as well so there is a challenge for me.
